the final paper

The final paper was very interesting and I learned a lot about what was going on in the world today.  I learned a lot about what was going on in general with current affairs and what was going on with the Green movement.  Since I have always found the Green Movement to be a very interesting topic. I dove right into the argument.  The topic is mainly about global warming,  and if all the pollution, chemicals, gases etc. that are being produced in the world today, is affecting the atmosphere and the average temperature of the Earth.  Many people, say the people who support the Green movement are hippies and tree huggers, but I do not think so.  These people are just aware of what is going on in the world, when discussing the environment, weather and the atmosphere.  I found that it seems to be that there are two sides to this argument.  The first side is the people who agree with it, and the second side are the people who do not agree with it. I found sites on the computer and information in my book that supports both arguments.  The side that is mostly liberal agrees with global warming and thinks that it should be stopped.  The side that does not agree with it is mostly conservative and says that the temperature of the earth goes in cycles and there is no need for alarm.  There are also many people who are indifferent to what is going on in the world.  No, matter what people say are no matter what side you are on, this seems to be a very real occurrence. If we stop producing these gases today, we have enough gases in the air that we have already produced that the atmosphere will continue to deteriorate for the next hundred years.

random post

This post will be about the future of our country and how the job market will be for kids currently graduating from college.  The economy has been so bad and hundreds of thousands of people are losing thier jobs, how is it possible for a 22 year old graduating from college going to get a decent job?  First, the economy has to turn around, than these companies need to start hirng back these people who were laid off.  But, there is a problem with that.  These industries have become super efficient and super lean that they do not need to hire back these people, if they can get the same work out a robot or outsource the work overseas or in some cases they do not even need people to work for the companies.   This is not very promising for thousands of kids graduating from school.  How is it possible for kids like us to graduate and get a good job? The only way to make money and have a good life is to become an entrepeneur,  you cna start your own business, although that really isnt the best way to be succesful, or tou can develop a widget.  Unfortunately, it is tough to become self-employed.  You need to have alot of motivation, alot of skill, and alot of moeny.  Many people do not have this, so what are we going to do.  Everyone says go to college and get a degree, but we dont know whats in store for us when we graduate.  We are supposed to spend a hundreds of thousands of dollars to get a degree, but that what? There is no guaranteed jobs and way of making our money back.  What are we going to do/

facebook effect 2

Thefacebook was active at 370 schools and was valued at 40 to 60 million dollars.  Shortly thereafter it grew to 75 million dollars. At first this site was strictly made by college students and used strictly by college students.  It was in its prime and at first had a tough time taking off.  Many people espescially computer and dot com agencies did.  It was tough to get started with because of the dot com crash of 2000 to 2001, but the companies finally had enough capital to begin.  Once this started thefacebook began to take off.  The price was raised to about 80 million and people really started to show interest in the site.  One of the reasons why facebook took off was due to the fact of a man named Mark Zuckerberg.  He is an intelligent man and very sensible.  He is a Harvard graduate and was great with computers.  But, he wasnt the only guy toget the site going.  he had alot help, his friends from school.  Although, the very unfortunate thing about making money and becoming famous is that you lose your loyalty to your friends and start becoming very greedy.  This happened to Mark Zuckerberg and he and old friends, who helped develop the site were in a financial war to see who really deserves to have the rights to the site.  However, I think that Mark Zuckerberg still has the rights to the site and is probably a billionaire.

random post 1

This random post is going to be about the developing advancements of technology in the modern age.  The other part will be if it is good or bad.  Personally, I think that it is important to understand how technology is affects our lives and so on.  Technology helps our life become easier in many different ways.  For one, it helps us communicate much faster and easier among people, it helps us be able to to learn much quicker and easier, receive important updates, fight the war on terror, help create medicine, help allow for the better distribution of energy etc.  These are all good things and make things easier and better on people, but at what cost.  The technolgy could help allow people to build bombs, get information to hurt people in the hands of the wrong people.  For example, there is a aubstance called anit-matter that can power cities very easily and is very clean, but if it not handled correctly it can destroy cities.  That is the double-edged sword we have the abililty to be great but also to be cruel and dangerous.  We have nuclear reactors and have nuclear technology, but we are also the only country that have dropped nuclear bombs on another country.   Also, is having the ability to instantly communicate with people a good thing? It could impede our ability to grow and become mature.  I think that we need to really thibk about where we are going with this technology because if we let it get out of hand we can destroy ourselves, we will be a vicitm of our own superintellignece.

Facebook is a social networking site that is rapidly takking over the way we communicate, live, work etc.  It was started about 7 years by a bunch of college kids.  The guy who really took it to the next level was a man named Mark Zuckerberg.  He currently is a very wealthy man living in the United States.  Facebook helps us to be closer to people and to connect with people that otherwise you would never connect with.  Alhtough it is important to ahve friends, you must also be genuine and real when it comes to having your facebook page because if you are not genuine than you will not receive many requests.  Facebook is not all well and good.  For one such example it says that we are increasingly living our lives in public.  Does that mean we are turning itno a world of exhibitionists.  Some people say that it is a celebration of the minutiae of our lives.  Also, how will it lead to change and development if our actions are constantly being scrutinized by our friends.  This is helping people become more interactive and exchange ideas, but is it the kind of ideas that we want to hear or are they original.  Will Facebook impede or help people when we are discussing emotions, and emotional maturity?  Who is facebook good for? Do we really need it or do we think we need it? These are questions that must be answered and will be answered within the next couple of decades.  I think that it may impede our ability to learn and to change because everything will be scrutinized and judged.
